MEDSEALITTER is a project implemented on the Mediterranean basin, specifically dedicated to the MPAs aiming at developing specific marine litter monitoring protocols.
Protocols are intended for systematic monitoring of marine waste and their potential impact on key biodiversity species. The achievement of this objective will help to strengthen the effective management of AMPs and coordinate conservation measures in all Marine Protected Areas.
In addition, the project will create a network of protected marine protected areas for the implementation of integrated and shared interventions that provide effective solutions to contain the impact of marine waste on biodiversity.
